6 Fatherhood Podcasts You Should Be Listening To During the Covid-19 Quarantine

Written by Peter Manley

In recent years, podcasts have been taking over the media industry by storm so much it’s ridiculous. Whereas most people used to listen to the radio or watch YouTube videos, people are now resorting to podcasts as their preferred source of learning and entertainment. With the recent outbreak of the coronavirus, podcast consumption has become even more prominent.

Sure, there are many great podcasts out there, but the podcast industry has grown to be a bit overwhelming. There are hundreds––if not thousands––of them for every topic imaginable, and more are launched every single day.

Because of this, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find a great podcast that is worth listening to for the long haul. It’s become much like picking a song to listen to or finding a movie on Netflix to watch: you have to sift through all the fluff before you can find something worth your time.

This also applies to fatherhood podcasts. You’d think that there would only be a handful on this topic, but the truth is, this is a very saturated topic. So we’ve taken the liberty of doing the hard work for you. After sifting through hundreds of fatherhood podcasts, we found these to be the cream of the crop. Let’s take a look at six fatherhood podcasts you should be listening to. You can thank us later.

#1: Missing Dad

Where are all the fathers, and why do some people do well without them while others don’t? This podcast sets out to answer these tough questions. Each episode is a thought-provoking interview with people across all walks of life to see how they were affected by missing key pieces in this crucial relationship. Listen here or wherever you listen to podcasts.

#2: The Fatherly Podcast

Hosted by journalists Joshua Stein and Jason Gay, this podcast is an all-around banger for fathers wanting a mix of fun and inspiration. Listen as guest fathers talk about the good, the bad, and everything in between in relation to fatherhood.

#3: The Dadcast

Led by two self-proclaimed “SuperDads”, The Dadcast is a funny and direct conversation between the two hosts about everything fatherhood-related, including funny stories, deep discussions, and helpful advice.

#4: Mom & Dad Are Fighting

As the title suggests this podcast is a central hub for those talks that most parents don’t want to have about parenting. From dealing with child issues to issues in marriage, this is the darker side of parenting, discussed without limit.

#5: The Life of Dads Show

If you want to learn about fatherhood from a celebrity’s perspective, look no further than the Life of Dads Show podcast. This podcast collects advice, ideas, and stories from many household names, such as Shaq, Jim Gaffigan, Mark Hamill, and Michael Strahan.

#6: The Dad Edge Podcast

This podcast focuses primarily on self-development for fathers. The host, Larry Hagner discusses the many challenges that you may face in fatherhood while providing tips and advice to help you overcome them.
